Eduardo was eager to call me right after I posted my job request. My husband and I are renewing our wood deck, therefore we were looking for someone to sand and stain it; we were happy to pay someone quite well to do this job. Eduardo wanted to look at the job, and I put him on the phone with my husband, who told him that *Saturday* morning would work. Instead, for some bewildering reason, Eduardo shows up at our house on Friday morning.

My mother answered the door and corrected him, but he was rude and insisted that Friday was the agreed-upon day. He was simply wrong in the first place because my husband did not schedule an estimate on his Friday workday. My mother corrected him, telling him that Saturday was the correct day. She even repeated to him not to arrive so early.

Saturday morning came and went with no sign of Eduardo. He wasted our time indeed. We could have hired someone else; there were four other handymen interested in doing the job.

I have to say that this was NOT what I was expecting at all from someone who has all these positive reviews on laborfair.com. Extremely disappointed in laborfair.com as well. (Sat, Jun. 28, 2008)

I had a pleasant experience with Eduardo. He was amiable and very easy-going. Unfortunately I was not able use his services. This was solely due to he fact that I felt I wasn't really being "heard" pertaining to my specific wants with regard to a project. It was as if there wasn't a meeting of the minds. Comes early, stays late, gets the job done and well. Eduardo seems to know a lot about a lot of things. He put in a very complicated sound system in our R.V./gypsy caravan and helped paint and fix the interior up. He also has helped me in my house, repair a garbage disposal, hang shelves, build a closet, and transform our house for a grand party. At my business he has pored cement, painted, fixed toilets, and other odd jobs. He is friendly, honest, funny, and works well with others. Treat him fair, he will do the same for you. All in all, he has done a great job on any task I've set before him.

- He ripped out a window and replaced it with French doors
- He moved my hot tub and re-did the electrical work on it
- Re-wired some electrical outlets in my office
- Rebuilt our fence that blew down in the storm
- Brought us a new dishwasher and installed it
- Power washed and sealed our deck
- Hauled away all the trash from all those jobs

I organized twice for Eduardo to come and he didn't show up both times - first calling 1/2 after the scheduled time and next calling about 4 hours after. Sorry, I hate to write a bad review but I'm afraid that was my experience. I'm getting someone else now from this site; hopefully they will work out better. (Thu, Jan. 17, 2008)

Eduardo... Where did you go?
Eduardo wants big jobs. Don't expect anything hourly from him. I offered him endless $100-$150 days. And he packed up his stuff and said he would see me tomorrow. That was over a week and a half ago. Nice guy, good English, You better know the job better than him, work beside him, and have your own tools. Nice enough guy though, but he will ditch ya.
You can't be an unlicensed General Contractor with unlicensed Sub-contractors, if nobody knows how to do the work and refuses to show up to try. (Wed, Dec. 19, 2007)

Eduardo and Rigo listened to what I wanted, proposed some alternatives, and drew rough plans. They came back the next day and built a small wooden porch for me, and bolted on a metal ramp for my wheelchair. Nice work, looks great, and done really fast with no fuss. I'm so happy to have found great contractors who are competent, smart, and nice. Now I hope they'll come back and do all the small remodeling jobs to fix up my house for accessibility.
